Even though the body synthesizes inositol on its own and obtains it from some foods, supplements improve and increase these benefits as well as delivering a much more concentrated dose.

    It breaks down fats and prevents fatty deposits from building up in the cell walls of the brain, arteries, liver, and heart. It combines with choline to produce lecithin, a substance that emulsifies fats and maintains them in liquid suspension. The body easily expels emulsified fats and cholesterol. Therefore, inositol helps prevent diseases associated with the accumulation of fats and cholesterol in the body, especially cardiovascular diseases.
