10)  Chinaman’s Hat, Oʻahu
Chinaman’s Hat, also known as Mokoliʻi, is a popular spot for taking pictures of Oʻahu’s windward coast. It's a great place to visit if you are adventurous and actually want to enjoy some time to yourself. The outcropping resembles a Chinese peasant’s hat and it once was attached to Oʻahu. This mini island features two sea caves and two small beaches to relax on. Most people know Chinaman's hat from postcards but the real charm and beauty of the place can only be experienced if you visit it. The beautiful basalt island is located at the north end of Kaneohe Bay and is only 450 meters offshore from Kualoa Regional Beach Park.

The best known beach in Honolulu is Waikiki and it sits on the south shore of Oʻahu. Home to resort hotels and properties, the white sand beach is in close proximity to such attractions as the Waikiki Aquarium, Diamond Head and the Honolulu Zoo.

4)  The Polynesian Cultural Center
Located on Oʻahu’s north shore, the Polynesian Cultural Center is a must see attraction for visitors who want to learn about the culture and history of the people of Polynesia. Founded in 1963, the Center features 8 villages depicting the Polynesian way of life.

3)  The Lolani Palace
The Iolani Palace was the last residence of the Hawaiian monarchy or King Kalakaua and Queen Lili`uokalani of Hawaii. Built in 1882, the structure is the only royal palace on American soil. The recently renovated palace is in close proximity to other notable Hawaiian tourist attractions, including the State of Hawaii Capitol Building and the Mission Houses Museum.

2)  The Aloha Tower
Serving as welcoming landmark for a wide variety of vessels, the 10 story Aloha Tower is listed on both the Hawaii and National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1926, the tower offers stunning views of Honolulu Harbor from its tenth floor observation deck. A small vintage elevator transports visitors up to the top and no admission is charged to access the deck.

The location of a Japanese attack during World War II, Pearl Harbor is located in the Ewa District of central Oʻahu. The largest natural harbor in Hawaii, Pearl Harbor is also the only naval base in the U.S. that has been designated as National Historic Landmark. The harbor was so named because of the pearl oysters that once were harvested there. The Pacific Historic Parks in the area feature a number of related attractions, including:  the Battleship Missouri Memorial, the USS Oklahoma Memorial, the USS Bowfin Submarine Museum and Park, and the Pacific Aviation Museum.
